What are You worshiping

Acts 17:23 "As I was going through your city and looking closely at the objects you worship I noticed an alter with this written on it: 'to an unknown god'. I'm telling you about the unknown god you worship."---God's Word translation

We worship something even if we do not realize we are doing it. If God is  not first in our lives, and He is not our main priority, focus, and the one we lay everything else aside for then we are giving our worship to something. We should have a conscious awareness of what we are giving our worship to, and what our idols have become. If it isn't God then we need to repent, turn away and go the other direction.. the direction of Christ, and begin to live our lives as a spiritual act of worship unto our Creator, God. He is the only one who deserves our worship, He is the giver of life, and of everything seen and unseen. He reigns forever and should not be taken for granted, or cast to the side as an after thought.  We should have a reverent and holy fear of the God we serve, Praise Him for He is near! When you begin to worship Him alone you will find your spirit lifted to Him a joy and peace fills you like nothing in this world could ever even come close to completing. Desire Him above all else because He first desired us. What is worship exactly? Its the daily act of living your life unto Christ and the prompting/leading of the Holy Spirit's direction. If we are living a life that is pleasing to God we are saying, that  to live unto His standards is more important than our own fleshly desires, to do His work is more important then a large paycheck, to lay our pride aside and be humble is more important then being right. To give love instead of anger. What are you worshiping today? Is it God or something that will eventually pass away?
