A Life of Freedom

1 Corinthians 9:19 "Although I'm free from all people I have made myself a slave for all people to win more of them."--God's Word translation

To lay down our lives for the sake of others is what we are called to do. When we begin to realize this life isn't our own and that the price it was bought at can never be repaid. It doesn't seem to be such a cost to deny self and allow Jesus to be Lord over our lives. Jesus served others for 33 years on earth, and now intercedes for us for eternity. We are free from the bondages of this life and free to do what we desire. But a life that is seeking Christ desires to serve Him and serve others so that they may also know the Lord the same way we have come to know Him. And in doing so we find such fulfillment as we never could have had, had we not submitted to Jesus and the purpose He has for us. My prayer is that the further I go in my walk with the Lord, the more I desire to lay myself aside to serve others so that they may understand and grasp what God's will is for them, and He wants for them.
