Defender

Oh God of Israel You are my defender

Protection against any who enter

You have placed me under Your wing

You are my life, my God, my King

Your Holy Spirit is a shadow that leads me

Into Your presence where I will forever seek thee

In times of trouble and of strain

I will continue to praise Your Holy name

Father, you are the only one I shall fear

For you, sacrificed Your Son so dear

I’ve never known a love so complete

Never had I dreamt of place at Your feet

Because of the price You paid

All my sins I may lay

I walk in freedom every moment

Because Jesus Christ was heaven sent.
