Focus on Jesus

Why can't this be removed from my mind
Just take it away...push rewind
I don't need a thing in this world to have breath
All I need is Christ who saves me from death
Lesson to focus on Jesus and to trust not in this world
Press into Holy Spirit, and fight with the sword
Pass by the lonely and feel the pull
Pray for them till they too are full
Not be focused upon my circumstances
But have concern for those who do not know what God's plan is
I leave this burden on Your alter
Pick up the cup drink more of the Your holy water
I am desperate for more of Your love
Humble and hungry, satisfaction comes only from above
Pressed down, searching and seeking
Unto You alone I am gleaning
Faith in my Father, stronger then before
Will trust that He will bring the right door
There is no longer a need for someone to make it better
For I serve the one who sets free of all fetters
Today I choose to pick up my cross
Today I say I suffer no loss
Instead I have victory for I belong to the Risen One
The Risen One Jesus Christ, God's own Son

Do you know

Do you know how much you mean to Me?
Do you see what it is I see?
Can you fathom the Love I want to bestow?
Will you ever let Me in to be the Greatest Love you know?
This relationship I will never demand
My mystery I only want you to understand
To see that my Son is the Way
And that your heart to Me will pray
When you cry I feel your tears
I can touch your fears
Be the peace that you always desire
Be the joy that is an unquenchable fire
Do you know how much you mean to Me?
Do you see what it is I see?
Can you fathom the Love I want to bestow?
Will you let Me in to be the Greatest Love you know?
Just to touch your heart
I long to never be apart
I want you in my Arms
To keep you from all harm
All you say is yes Lord yes
Touch my life, my spirit caress
Allow me to be in Your holy place
To feel how wonderful Your embrace
I long to understand all of your secrets
Please Father from me do not keep it
I see how much I mean to You!
I'm beginning to see myself the way You do!
I feel the Love that You freely give
Jesus, is the greatest love, in which I live!
Praise You today for a Love so wonderful
A life fresh and beautiful

Weak for He is Strong

I look and see so many lured

By the enticement of this world

Lives that sin has taken

For fleeting fun, we become mistaken

We say we are strong people

But what is strong? And what is feeble?

Strength is to stand when no one else will

Feeble is to give in, and just go with what you feel

We are all weak and not able to live this life on our own

For the reason that we were never created to be alone

Our purpose in this world is to have relationship with God

And not to just give Him a passing nod

To have a true heart for the one who made us

To stop giving into our flesh and own lust

Worship comes through a soul who desires to please

Not one who looks to the world, but from it flees

How tired must you be?

Before you really open your eyes and see

That to be strong is not to do it in your own strength

True strength is to allow Christ to run the length

Feel Him

Flow through my heart, beat within my flesh
Make this soul anew, Your fire refresh
Burn away every tainted seed
I take the back seat You take the lead
Humbly I bow and show You respect
Forgive me, this relationship I neglect
Want to leave all and abandon
All this world, and You just stand in
To understand I'm made of water and clay
And it is You that gives breath of life each day
Fear reverently given
To Christ, through whom my sins are forgiven
Passing through this life is not an option
I was created to take a stand accept His adoption
Became part of God's family, will not back down
Feel Him make me new, Through my soul He does pound
So speak of Him I will
Love like you never could feel

Lies

Some say my King is from an old time
They say their sick of hearing the same line
A God who created the universe is a fairy tale
The truth of Christ, becomes weak and frail
That we are our own gods, they walk in the lies
To cover tracks they create alibis
Constantly looking over their shoulder
Each day, each lie, only making them older
Become trapped and can't find a way out
Sin looses its fun, and they begin to cry out
Seeking an answer to all their issues
Drown it out with a few brews
Temporary fix for an eternal pain
Now one more mistake, who will gain?
Instead try a new route
Cast away the fear and doubt
Allow Jesus to show who He is
And just where it is He alone sits
Christ is not dead nor, from a time gone by
But alive, real and ready to comfort your cry
He is for everyone and not just a select few
From Gentile to Jew
His Father is our Creator, and Master of every living thing
He is the reason we live, He is purpose, life, and King
So drop the act and make it real
Confess your sins and feel
That this life maybe a tough one once in a while
But with Jesus,  you can stand through any mile

Take It

Hurt is what this feeling is, loss at something never gained
Energy spent someplace that has only caused pain
Left wondering and waiting
Looking on as all hope is dissipating
Finished giving, only to be taken
Never again to be mistaken
Hope in God above is what remains
Take me in, let me not be the same
I want more then what is at hand
Want to sit at Your feet, look towards the promise land
To take this emptiness that has haunted for so long
Take away, take it to someplace gone
Fill the void with Your perfect peace
Fill me Lord, let all else cease
Let nothing in this world matter ever again
Take this as I mark it paper and pen
My vision is blurred by these tears I cry
You wipe them when I look to the sky
Want to be free to sing and dance
Ready Father for Your romance
Seeing that You are the only one faithful
And to set me free, You are the one able
Not looking for anything but You
