Desperate

Within city limits we see bird's of prey.

Waiting for that which is made of dirt and clay.

We hold tight to this visual world. 

Instead of fighting with our given sword.

Evil abounds, due to our sleepy eyes.

The enemy seeks our demise. 

We sit in this daze of illusion.

Give place for the world's confusion.

It is time to fight for what is God's

Time to be moved from our standing sod.

To seek Him with truth everlasting.

To share Him with a people that are passing.

To not be cowardly, for our savior.

But speak boldly, that He can show His favor.

We were given a gift to share.

God's heart is that for the lost we care.

Let His love abound for those who need.

Holy Spirit we cry out, for our prayers interceed. 

Succeed

The battle is real these scares will heal

I sink deeper but rise stronger

There will be a day when hope is realized

There will be a moment to gain the prize

At this time , its time to fight to win and to not give in

Enough is enough and there is so much more

So much more to live and breathe for

I know the purpose, I've heard the call

So why am I so timid to give you all?

I know You are there and more real then my flesh

But still it wages upon my chest

I lay it down at your feet, then pick it back up and claim defeat

You've already broken these chains that bind

So why to I pick them up and make them mine

I want to feel you like I did then, I still know you wash this sin.

Rebellion and anger I let slip in my heart

So Father once again wash clean every part

Make a road for me to travel

One that can not unravel

Be the only substance I need 

To live this life and for you suceed

God Alone Is All

I've been lost and I've been broken
My words have been mis-spoken
But the truth will always be the same
So only this one thing may remain
That some may come and go from this place
But to see Your glory is to see your face
I want to lay all else aside
So that in You alone I confide
I've looked to others for the answers
Only to be disappointed and see disasters
Now You show me through signs I can't deny
That these tears are healing so to You I cry
Forgive me for my wondering ways
Help me and give me strength to make it through each day

The Fight

I reach and fall, try to find the way back up but there is nothing to grip, nothing at all. I cry out from the center of my being, wanting release, rid of suffering.  So bleak has hope become, it has taken me captive. I claw and scrape...to be rid of this fate. This battle is not over, but over it I will come. I will be one made stronger by the scares left behind, I will not give in nor will I hide. And from the weakest of points my strength will come, cause no I will not forget where I have come from.

Repentence

Dreaming often seems like a dare
The grass is greener, look across and compare
We have a craving for success
But open those eyes...we digress
Distracted by our own pride
Fear of rejection, is consistently spiritual suicide
A diagnosis of our hearts true intents
What happened to wisdom, where went common sense
We are Babylon and we will fall
If you've heard the message, then you've received the call
To believe that Jesus is the Son of God, Holy and Risen
How selfish a people, to hold back from the One who became crimson
He, who laid down His life physically
We, should cry out Father take all of me!
Love for Christ who loved us first
He's known us since before birth
A purpose received, felt from the inside out
To walk in trust, and relationship, believe and never doubt
Feel the tug on your heart, a nudging that it is true
The Holy Spirit is calling you
Set aside everything, you know He's leading
He draws closer the more you are seeking

Shattered Glass

He holds the shattered glass
A broken and empty past
Life seen with a new perspective
To open eyes, that were deceptive
Pushed till anger was all that was left
Sunken, rejected, all hope bereft
He takes this shell of an individual
And recreates to make someone so beautiful
Clay that was formless and heavy
To be made light and ready
Open to a love of truth and anticipation
All given from a Savior, who for you has the utmost adoration
Ready to take us in, from a feeble existence
Create us into a people of brilliance
To be shown for His glory due
That other's may see too
The way of our Lord is to great to be kept secret
He builds you up so that you must speak it

Places it back together, for eternity to last

All I need is Christ who saves me from death
Lesson to focus on Jesus and to trust not in this world
Press into Holy Spirit, and fight with the sword
Pass by the lonely and feel the pull
Pray for them till they too are full
Not be focused upon my circumstances
But have concern for those who do not know what God's plan is
I leave this burden on Your alter
Pick up the cup drink more of the Your holy water
I am desperate for more of Your love
Humble and hungry, satisfaction comes only from above
Pressed down, searching and seeking
Unto You alone I am gleaning
Faith in my Father, stronger then before
Will trust that He will bring the right door

Weak for He is Strong

I look and see so many lured

By the enticement of this world

Lives that sin has taken

For fleeting fun, we become mistaken

We say we are strong people

But what is strong? And what is feeble?

Strength is to stand when no one else will

Feeble is to give in, and just go with what you feel

We are all weak and not able to live this life on our own

For the reason that we were never created to be alone

Our purpose in this world is to have relationship with God

And not to just give Him a passing nod

To have a true heart for the one who made us

To stop giving into our flesh and own lust

Worship comes through a soul who desires to please

Not one who looks to the world, but from it flees

How tired must you be?

Before you really open your eyes and see

That to be strong is not to do it in your own strength

True strength is to allow Christ to run the length

Feel Him

Lies

Some say my King is from an old time
They say their sick of hearing the same line
A God who created the universe is a fairy tale
The truth of Christ, becomes weak and frail
That we are our own gods, they walk in the lies
To cover tracks they create alibis
Constantly looking over their shoulder
Each day, each lie, only making them older
Become trapped and can't find a way out
Sin looses its fun, and they begin to cry out
Seeking an answer to all their issues
Drown it out with a few brews
Temporary fix for an eternal pain
Now one more mistake, who will gain?
Instead try a new route
Cast away the fear and doubt
Allow Jesus to show who He is
And just where it is He alone sits
Christ is not dead nor, from a time gone by
But alive, real and ready to comfort your cry
He is for everyone and not just a select few
From Gentile to Jew
His Father is our Creator, and Master of every living thing
He is the reason we live, He is purpose, life, and King
So drop the act and make it real
Confess your sins and feel
That this life maybe a tough one once in a while
But with Jesus,  you can stand through any mile

Nothing Between

Job 11:13-15 "If you want to set your heart right, then pray to Him. If you're holding on to sin, put it far away, and don't let injustice live in your tent. Then you will be able to show your face without being ashamed, and you will be secure and unafraid."-- God's Word translation

I do not want to live a life that is constantly tugging between what my flesh may want and what my spirit needs. I want to be true to God who created me and be in a relationship with Christ, where I know that I am pleasing Him. (Psalm 111:10) I have a reverent fear for my God, and the last thing I want to is to be separated from Him again. I want to obey Him and what He has ordered for my life because I want to worship Him and give Him all glory. I do not want to feel the guilt and shame of what this natural life can bring or even more feel separated from Christ. I desire to walk in the way the Lord has shown me to walk, that is within His Spirit's leading in my life. If I am not pleasing to Jesus, then I am of no worth to this world. To walk by the Holy Spirit's guiding is to be wise, to live in the order that God created us to live. Spirit first, then soul, then body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). We too often get it wrong and allow what our body wants to be the first thing we give into. Our soul we guard a little bit more, but if we allow the wrong influences into our lives it is not soon that even on the emotional, level we begin to give in and cave to thinking we are o.k. When in-fact we are not o.k. we have stepped out of communication with Christ, the one who we should be our constant dependence. And our spiritual life becomes dormant.  Then we become dependent on our own abilities, which will never work out how God intended it (Jeremiah 29:11). But the awesome thing is, is that all we have to do is hand everything over to God, walk away from whatever our sins maybe, look to Christ for everything. Allow Him to have control of your life. How many wouldn't want to just let someone fix everything that is wrong? That is what Jesus wants to do for us, fix everything broken and hurt inside. He wants to make us whole where we ourselves, or maybe someone else has done damage.  We are able to feel joy again, true happiness, and peace but its because we are looking to God and not to ourselves. His ways are so much more then our ways could ever become. With God, hard times are still hard, but you know with no doubt He will see you through it. Honor Christ in all you do, and when you mess up, or fall, stand back up..ask forgiveness, and begin to walk once more with God. He will never leave, He is the one constant.

The Library

Cleaning the library is such a treat
Others make dirt, and I sweep
From stacks of books
To the crannies and nooks
Make sure there is no dust
Prints on the windows are a must
Everything in order and straight
Better to be early not late
You can read the adventures of  Frodo
To trying to find that sneaky Waldo
Scrub the toilets...1st, 2nd, and 3rd John
Its super early please try not to yawn
Get the trash from each office
Wipe up any messes
Straighten up wherever need be
This should sum up a day in the library

Praise

Thank You Father for Your guidance
I praise You for You are there in any circumstance
You lift my feet each step to the next
You carry me when I am perplexed 
For every time and every season
To praise You I do not require reason
Just to know that You are Lord is enough
And You will not corrupt
You are purity, in its truest form
So to Your ways my life do I conform
You are the center of every choice
You are who I listen to, seek Your voice
Know You will always lead me to the straight
Pull me away from harm, evil, and hate
You've shown me what love is that I may know
So now I can walk and Your love to other's show
With hope that one day very soon

Christ is Always There

I love walking, it is one of my favorite things to do, I can walk for miles on end. I love being able to go where ever my feet lead, have time to talk to God, and also just to take in the beautiful creation that He has given us to enjoy. I love the feeling of the sun beating down on my skin and the breeze that comes, I enjoy the smell of outside and the fresh air. My dog   comes with me every time, but sometimes she gets tired before I do, she will plop herself down on the grass and look up at me like she is telling me "I don't want to go anymore". So I will pick her up and carry her for a while till she is ready to go again. As we were walking today she did this and the thought occurred to me that this is what Christ does with us. He wants us to be in such a close relationship with Him that we know His heart and know what choices and decisions He would have us to make in any given circumstance. Sometimes we get it right sometimes we get it wrong. (Praise Him for His grace when we get it wrong). But sometimes He sees that we are stuck, and crying out looking up saying "Lord, I can't go anymore, I don't know where, or what to do. I'm tired, I need You right now." It is always at that point of complete dependence upon Christ that He sees our purity of heart and knows that we are calling out to Him because we have faith and trust that He is there to lift us up into His arms and carry us, take us to the point where we can walk again and set us down to go about life. But He is always there, never leaves even when we feel like He isn't hearing us, or listening, He is still there. Sometimes its simply a quite time to allow us to grow in our own faith and to see that by trusting Him even when we don't see, or hear, we still know He is faithful and will show up right when we need Him. A faithful heart is one that will praise Him through everything, the good, the bad, everything. When life hits rock bottom, you are not only crying out to Him. But you are Praising Him for all that He is. When life is at its peak and everything is going amazing, you don't forget Him, you Praise Him for all that He is. We were created to worship Him, and love Him. 

The Love of Jesus Never Fails

1 Corinthains 13:8-10 "Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled;where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears."


God is love, perfect and untainted love. A love that will saturate your soul and a love that you know will never leave you. A love that will be for the rest of your eternity if you accept it. Jesus is the completeness that we need. We need to know Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23) A pure heart will desire pure love, and until our spirits become in unity with Christ and the Holy Spirit we can never know what pure love really is. We seek God out because as we come to know Him we see what love really is about. It is not condoning behavior that is against the heart of God, but seeing each and every person as someone who   God so longs to have with Him in His home. God's love is a love that forgives when we do wrong, provides when we are in need, disciplines when we go against His ways, always wants to be in communication with us, desires us to trust Him even when we can not see, and so much more. Everything else in this world, even the gifts that God gives to us as His earthly children, will eventually have no need. Instead completeness comes, the completeness is Jesus, John 1:1, He is the beginning, the word of  God, everything in the Bible points directly to Christ as our Savior, and to God our Abba Father. And He is the end, He is All and He is alive, risen and ready to be the one who takes us and leads us down a path that will not harm but only make us stronger, build our faith and show us the love that He so longs for us to know.  He does not wish to harm us or see us in pain. And when pain of this earthly life comes, He takes care of us, no matter what the situation rather it be emotional, spiritual, physical.  He meets us right at our need and sees us through each journey. When Christ returns and we see what the wholeness of God's love is, we won't need anything else, we will know in every way that God is truthful. Every time you make the choice to cry out to God, He will answer. Sometimes its not how we expect it to be, but in the end it will always work out to glorify Him, meaning it is done in a way that will leave no question of His existence. And we will be filled even more with what His love is about. Once Christ comes, we will be in His presence and that is enough. 

He Sees You

Christ sees from within
